Capital Improvement Program
Background: Microsoft Corporation has partnered with the Philadelphia School District to create a new 162,305 SF technology high school for approximately 750 students with such community amenities as a 500 seat 8,500 SF state of the art auditorium with two smaller revolving lecture spaces. The school is laid out along a "Main Street" corridor from which classroom, gyms and cafeteria space are attached in modules. All students will be connected through wireless broadband at school and teachers will access data through online digital smart boards. The school will be a LEED certified facility.
JBC is providing construction management services during preconstruction and construction for several projects under the $1.5 Billion Capital Improvement Program for the School District of Philadelphia. Some of these projects have included:
