Background: This project replaced a 7 span truss bridge which opened in 1948 with a new bridge structure approximately 730 meters in length (2,395 LF) consisting of 2 lanes in both Northbound and Southbound directions, with 10 foot shoulders inside and out. The new bridge is a 16 span concrete structure, built under Design-Build Concept Criteria in metric units. The project involved construction of new approaches on new alignment and new signalization of three intersections. JBC provided construction inspection services for this bridge replacement project.
