New Rt. 29 Interchange Receives Additional Awards
Engineering News Record magazine honored the Rt. 29 All Electronic Toll Interchange project with its Mid Atlantic "Best Project" Award for Highway/ Bridge. JBC served as the Construction Manager for the project.
The project was also honored by the March of Dimes as the recipient of the "Transportation, Building + Construction Award, Suburban Project" at their annual awards luncheon held in March and attended by over 1100 industry professionals.
And the Mid-Atlantic Chapter of the Construction Management Association of America acknowledged the significance of the project with its 2013 Project Achievement Award for Infrastructure Projects over $20 million.

2013 marks the 25th Anniversary of JBC Associates, Inc. The firm has grown in many ways since its days as a one-person construction consultancy founded by President/ CEO, Janet B. Cunnigham, P.E. to a nationally recognized construction management and inspection services firm.This year JBC moves up a place to rank No. 87 in the Top 100 Construction Management-For-Fee firms in the United States based on its annual revenue for 2012 according to Engineering News Record magazine.
Rt. 29 Interchange Receives “Project of the Year” Award
The new Rt. 29 All-Electronic Toll Interchange has been selected for recognition by ASHE Delaware Valley in the over $10 million category. JBC served as the Construction Manager providing construction management and inspection services for the PA Turnpike Commission’s first full or “four-way” all electronic toll interchange. Designated as Interchange #320, the $60 million project involved construction of two new eastbound and two new westbound exit and entrance ramps, mainline widening and ramps over the Turnpike and two local roads, retaining walls, two EZ-Pass electronic tolling facilities and a weigh-in motion monitoring system. The project was a great team effort by the firms involved: JBC Associates, Urban Engineers, GPI, STV, Bergmaier Communications, and the general contractor, Allan A. Myers.

JBC joined HEERY and the PA Department of General Services in the spotlight as the Pennsylvania Judicial Center was recognized in the category of “Public Building Project over $100 million” for CMAA’s Project of the Year Award on June 8, 2010 at the Union League. JBC provided CPM scheduling, document control and change order processing services as a member of the HEERY CM team.

JBC Founder is PSU Engineering Commencement Speaker
Janet Cunningham returned to her alma mater on May 18, 2007 as the College of Engineering’s commencement speaker. She accepted the honor and opportunity, calling it “one of the highlights of my life.” Her speech titled “Accept the Challenge” urged the 771 graduates to embrace the unexpected and unplanned opportunities in life. She encouraged them to take risks and reach outside their comfort zone.
