

RECENT CONTRACT AWARDS:
JBC provides Scheduling for new Philadelphia Family Court
JBC Associates is providing CPM scheduling services to Keating Building Corporation during construction of the new 509,000 gsf Family Court building in Center City Philadelphia. The $122 million courthouse will consist of 14 floors above grade and 3 floors below for parking. The building will house several courtrooms, judge's chambers, and office space.
DGS selects JBC as CM for Lincoln University Projects
The PA Department of General Services selected JBC to provide Construction Management services for two campus and athletic facility improvement projects at Lincoln University. A $12.2 million general campus renovation project addresses roadways, parking, sidewalks and landscaping. A second $8.1 million project is for the construction of a new field house, stadium and track facility, additional tennis courts, softball and soccer fields with associated walkways and roads. The two contracts are running concurrently on the campus.
JBC is also assisting DGS with scheduling services on the new 90,237sf Learning/ Counseling Academic Student Center at Lincoln .
JBC assists Whiting-Turner at SUNY Albany and SUNY Oswego, NY
JBC is providing scheduling services to Whiting-Turner for the new Nanotech Expansion Phase 1 project, a four-story, 326,472 gsf semiconductor facility at the SUNY Albany campus. JBC is also providing schedule assistance for a 150,000 sf Addition and 79,000 sf Renovation to Piez Hall, including demolition of an existing building, at the SUNY Oswego campus.
PennDOT selects JBC for PRR Bridge Rehab at 30th Street
JBC has been selected by PennDOT District 6-0 to provide construction inspection services during the rehabilitation of four (4) bridge structures carrying Arch, 30th, Market and Chestnut Streets over Amtrak. Urban Engineers and AECOM are team members.
JBC participating in PM/CM Contracts at Philadelphia Airports
JBC is providing construction inspection, CPM scheduling and document control services to Michael Baker Jr., Inc. and AECOM-DMJM under two separate contracts for On-Call Project Management/ Construction Management services at Philadelphia International and Northeast Airports. Major projects include: the $117million Terminal F Expansion, $28 million Terminal A-East Sector 23 CBIS, Taxiway S Rehabilitation, and Runway 9R-27L Electrical Rehab and Runway Repaving.
JBC selected for I-476 (Blue Route) Bridge and Highway Repair
JBC was selected by PennDOT District 6-0 for the $71.7 million S.R. 0476 RDC - Reconstruction of I-476 from I-76 (Schuylkill Expressway) to the Mid-County Interchange (PA Turnpike) in Montgomery County. The agreement is to provide construction inspection services for new concrete pavement construction and rehabilitation of six (6) dual mainline bridges and one (1) overhead bridge over the next four (4) years. CMC, GPI and Urban Engineers are members of the JBC team.
PennDOT selects JBC for Preservation of I-95 Bridges
JBC was selected for I-95, Section MB2 - the preservation of 52 bridges along the I-95 corridor through Bucks, Philadelphia and Delaware counties. JBC will provide construction inspection and documentation services for the $71 million structural repair program. CMC, GPI and Urban Engineers are members of the JBC team.
JBC awarded I-81 Restoration contract by PennDOT District 5-0
JBC was selected to provide construction inspection services for the I-81 Restoration project in Schuylkill County. SR 81-09M includes the design-build restoration of I-81between SR 54 and the Luzerne County Line. The project is scheduled to start Spring 2010 and has an anticipated completion date of November 2011. Gannett-Fleming and Urban Engineers are members of the JBC team.
Delaware County Open-End renewed for JBC Inspection Services
JBC will continue to provide construction inspection services throughout the county and district-wide for assignments on projects involving roadways, streetscapes, bridges, traffic signalization or ITS. The agreement term is for five (5) years with CMC, GPI and Urban Engineers as members of the team.
JBC provides CM/ CI services for 4 Major Bridge Repairs Over I-95
JBC is a member of two separate agreements providing Construction Management (sub to Trumbull) and Construction Inspection (sub to CMC) for four major bridge structures repair over I-95 in Philadelphia County. The assignment includes: I-95 VAG (Girard Point Bridge), I-95 BRD (over Broad Street), Platt Bridge and I-95 over Pattison Avenue.
JBC providing CMI services to Maryland Transportation Authority
JBC is providing schedule review services to the MdTA for the Baltimore Harbor Tunnel Thruway and Francis Scott Key Bridges miscellaneous repairs, the Harry W. Nice Memorial Bridge Approach Improvements, and the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Signal System Rehabilitation projects. Under the agreement, we will also be providing constructability review, project control and inspection services as part of the Greenman-Pedersen, Inc./ Gannett Fleming, Joint Venture team.
